Danny Gokey was a finalist in American Idol 2009 (my favourite
from the start!), and he is known for his incredible voice. Just before
auditioning for American Idol, his wife died from complications during
her third surgery to treat her congenital heart disease. Danny started
a foundation in her name, Sophia’s Heart Foundation, which was set
up to help disadvantaged children. Later Leyicet came into his life,
and he found love again. The two are now married and have two
beautiful children.
