R agnhild’s house in Norway is the perfect location for a
“Scandi Holiday shoot”, so we went to see the beautiful
Ragnhild to celebrate Christmas the Scandinavian
way. All the vintage furniture and interior set the mood -
evergreen branches and trees, pine cones, fir tree wreaths,
natural wood accessories, lanterns and of course reindeer
compose a classical Scandinavian holiday décor – rustic
and cosy.
In Scandinavia the whole period from the First Advent Sunday
to the end of December is treated as the Holiday season, and
the unwritten rule is that every home should have 7 different
kinds of traditional Holiday cookies ready and boxed up before
December 24. Since I’m not a slave to tradition I just go by my
taste buds to give the classics a personal twist.
Evoke the rich and resonant traditions of a Scandinavian
Christmas with this selection of classic desserts and
cookies, put together so that you can enjoy the Holidays the
Scandinavian way.
